What they do

TBG creates places that celebrate life. TBG does this by creating a collaborative relationship with clients and colleagues and by gaining a thorough understanding of the vision for each project. In an effort to tell the story of a place, TBG employs a holistic design methodology, integrating unique design character to create great spaces in the built environment resulting in living outdoor legacies in the areas of healthcare, higher education, hospitality, historic sites, corporate campuses, civic projects, mixed-use developments and residential communities. TBG’s award-winning and internationally recognized projects demonstrate the value and success of the firm’s approach.

Internal Challenges

In 2008 we found ourselves faced with an internal dilemma.  The Accounting and project management software we had been using for the previous 9 years was no longer going to be supported by the manufacturer.  We were very comfortable with it and relied on it heavily.

The solution

Luckily for us we found new software that was able to accommodate our needs and actually had a couple of advantages over the old software (real time timesheet entry and web access).  And also luckily for us was the new software company aligned us with Crestwood Consulting Services, LLC for the implementation of and training on the new software.

The Crestwood’s team was a life-saver.  We wouldn’t have been able to do this without Crestwood.   The conversion went very well with no loss of data.  Crestwood was always available to us.  They are always available via email even if I didn’t have time to talk.  Crestwood was also very helpful in setting up security and showing us what project managers would like to see. Project managers can now get information for themselves leaving the accounting department more time to do their work.

Our Crestwood consultant also showed me how to export reports to Excel and Adobe Acrobat.  They also walked me through things like creating an “AR Notes” tab on the project to keep all my collection notes. “That has been a huge help in the AR process”.  The best part is our Project Managers and Principals are now involved with the AR process.  They seem to get a better response from our customers which gives a much better cash flow.
